So it's chapter 7 this week girls.
We won't have a chance to share on Friday night because of the badge presentation (make sure you wear your uniforms!) so I'd like for you to share what you think of chapter 7 here.
Also, this weeks challenge is to choose a parable and give it a modern setting.
Write a poem or re-write it in a story. Be creative and post it here so we can all read it.

ReplyDeleteSo there was a family going to holidays in the car on Thursday and the car broke down. They were on the side of a major high way and the kids in the back we crying because they were thirsty and hungry.
The parents were trying to get people who were driving past to stop and help but everyone was just looking at them and driving past… As the parents watched the cars drive passed they noticed that a lot of the cars had fish or crosses on the back of their cars. This made the parents wonder if any of these Christians would stop or if they were the same as everyone else.
A group of people stopped about 10 metres in front of the family’s car and just as the parents got out asking them if they would be able to assist them the car of people sped off. This made the family feel very angry and disappointed because no one would help the family.
Finally an hour later some people stopped to see if they could assist the family with anything… just as the people stopped their tyre popped. The people let the parents call RACQ and get them to come and fix the car and the tyre.
When RACQ arrived the parents realized that it was too late for them to sign in to the place they were staying to the people offered their house to the family for the night.
The simple lesson of the parable is that you should care for the needs of anyone regardless of race, religion or other divisions created by man as the Samaritan had. Love fulfils the entire law. And when you show compassion for others, we are following the example of Jesus, taking his place on earth until he returns.
